The Donate Life Family Fun Run is a non-competitive 5K run and 1K walk to raise awareness for organ, eye and tissue donation and celebrate Maryland’s organ and tissue donors and their families. Proceeds from the Donate Life Family Fun Run benefit the Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland to further the organization’s mission of providing advocacy, family support, comprehensive public and professional education, and commitment to enhancing the organ and tissue donation process.
In 2009, nearly 400 people helped make the first annual Donate Life Family Fun Run a huge success. Donor families and friends, transplant recipients, hospital partners, Team Maryland members and more made up the more than 36 teams who participated in the event. More importantly, the day helped Maryland donor families celebrate the lives and legacies of their loved ones in a truly joyful way.
Team Up for Life!
Form a team and participate in the 2010 Donate Life Family Fun Run on September 25 at Druid Hill Park in Baltimore. Round up friends and family, create a team with a catchy name and join the fun!
Register Early! All registered participants receive free Family Fun Run t-shirt, but if you register BEFORE August 1, 2010, you will be eligible to pick up your shirt prior to the race day. Many teams like to customize their shirts, so registering early will ensure you have the opportunity to do so. Go to the Team Captain Information section for more team details.
Prizes Prizes will be awarded to the team with the most pledges, the team with the most team members and the individual with the most pledges.
